I have a hyper heart and connect with people who have a sharp wit, particularly those who can appreciate me at my most energetic and my most sullen. I consider myself to be a cheerful pessimist (or a cautious optimist), and, as Adam Grant writes, “know I have chemistry with someone when we find it delightful to prove each other wrong.”

I enjoy exploring the intersection between sincerity, intelligence, and humor. I am most fond of climbing, music, dancing, writing, botanizing, running, and introspective thought. I thrive with regular exposure to coffee, chocolate, EDM, and dogs.

This blog is my place to dump writing about my travels and climbing, and to experiment with form. Please visit this link for my most recent science writing pieces.
